 Lions of AfricaThe most exotic performer group will be the African dancers, percussionists and musicians of “Lions of Africa” from Senegal. This amazing spectacle is based on an ancient African tradition in which dance, music and acrobatics have been used for controlling and taming even the forces of nature. The group’s show is full of momentum and energy, virtuosity and wild pageantry of colour, the kind of which the Ikaalinen Old Town Park has never seen before. African dance and the magic of exotic percussions open a whole new world to the Finnish audience used to more melancholy music. The members of Lions of the Africa are West African cultural ambassadors from Senegal. The Government of Senegal is supporting the group’s visit to Ikaalinen.
